I don't if this had been posted from YTV's website about the opening of a new YTV newsroom at the University of Lincoln.

Funnily enough I was standing at the back door of Sparkhouse Studios the other day and noticed an emergency contact numbers list including one for "Yorkshire Television".

Persumably it's just a move from Bailgate where the lease was being advertised last time was up that way (about November).

The BBC Radio Leeds Drivetime show has had a bit of variety this week with various presenters sitting in for Daragh Corcoran.

Yesterday it was Martin Kelner and Julie Langford

Today seemed to be Diana Luke
SP
Steve in Pudsey
Darragh apparently has got the drivetime gig at GMR, from what I read on other forums.

I didn't see Look North (Hull) tonight so don't know if it was mentioned, but I notice that BBC Yorkshire & Lincolnshire won the RTS Nations and Regions News Coverage award last night for the Joanne Nelson murder case.

As this was a Hull news story, this must be attributed then to the Hull Look North and Peter Levy Shocked

Peter is setting the standard.

To be fair it was up against a Heavy London biased set of stories, these were the nominations and results from the RTS.

It has to be said that this was under the direction of the previous editor, who has now left.
As I have stated before as long as the audience tolerate no news news programmes then it will continue. According to the BBC, members of the public can have their say (as long as you have a ticket) on the 28th in Hull. I understand it is to be independantly chaired. Its up to the audience to speak up, now or never.

That thing about Daragh going to GMR is bollox.
Was posted by someone on another forum who didn't know what they were talking about.
It got taken off.
He's at Leeds still, doing Flashback and overnights I think.
Eamonn O'Neal is the permanant Drive host on GMR - although this week he's been covering breakfast with Dianne Oxberry sounding really nice imho.

He was back on Drivetime this afternoon anyway, although Martin and Julie took over from 5pm, so have the slot times changed?. Daragh's show seemed less newsy Wink and I'm sure there was no headlines at 4.45pm, although he may have just been late for it

The Radio Leeds website doesn't reflect none of this as it hasn't been updated since last year by the looks of it

I thought that it was a behind the scenes tour where the general public could wander around and talk with the people making the programme.

And Faye Barker is back at Calendar tonight. Poor girl, does she ever get a rest? One day she's at Sky, the next London Tonight... Good for her though, she's making a name for herself.

As I understand it it is some sort of serious consulation exercise with viewers views being sought. It is supposed to be a ticket doo so if you would like to make your feelings felt you need to phone the reception in Hull or Lincoln

Just to follow it up, I was right - the press release came from the University and this was attached to the end of it:

Note to editors: ITV Yorkshire’s Lincoln office was previously on Bailgate. The new Lincoln office can be contacted on 01522 837235.
