On Look North Paul has got a new look

He seems to have dropped his loud jackets and instead is going for a no jacket/loud shirt look.
Last time we had no jacket on Look North weather was Tom Schafernaker!

I wonder if he did that to see if we would notice?
If I were a meanie, I might suggest he was peeved at not being discussed as much as before.
Maybe he shouldn't have persuaded our Katherine to quit the place.

Can't he just dress normally? There seemed to be a trend of 'personality dressing' in the 90s where dull presenters thought they'd seem more interesting if they wore wacky or brightly coloured clothes. Sadly though it just made them look like w*nkers. In the case of Paul, he's got a good personality which would probably shine through more if his clothes were less of a distraction.

''I'm gonna get you Levy,'' said Paul.

Based on that last comment, bearing in mind I don't know the exact ins & outs of Katherine's departure, what's it got to do with a TV weatherman whether a poster can post on here or not ?
She didn't slander him in anyway, did she ?

Quite the contrary, she was/is his number one fan.
From time to time, Katherine's allegiance to Look North and Mr Hudson became the subject of some fun-making; although admittedly there were harsh words said sometimes.
As I understand it, Mr Hudson suggested Katherine stop posting on this board to spare her any further anxiety with opposing members opinions.
Many of us though had become very accustomed to Ms Birkett, and indeed missed her when her posting stopped.
From that perspective, although it was well intentioned, I find myself blaming the weatherman for her departure.

I don't if this had been posted from YTV's website about the opening of a new YTV newsroom at the University of Lincoln. But here it is nonetheless:
ITV Yorkshire has become the latest organisation to move into Sparkhouse Studios, the University of Lincoln’s creative industries incubation centre.
ITV Yorkshire joins a cluster of digital media businesses in the incubator, which opened on Lincoln’s Ropewalk in 2003 to provide office space and support for creative and media business start-ups.
The new ITV Yorkshire office will be the base for the reporting team which covers the Lincolnshire area for the daily regional news magazine programme ‘Calendar’.
Commenting on the new base in Lincoln, ITV Yorkshire Managing Director David Croft said: “I am very pleased that we have found these excellent new facilities in Lincoln which suit the needs of a modern newsgathering organisation.
“ITV Yorkshire is pleased to be part of a growing digital media cluster based in the creative environment of Sparkhouse Studios.
“Our ’Calendar’ team is committed to covering stories from right across Lincolnshire and new technology is helping to bring viewers news of what’s happening in their area ever more quickly.”
Andrew Stevenson, manager of Sparkhouse Studios, commented: “We are delighted to welcome ITV Yorkshire to Sparkhouse Studios as an anchor tenant.
“The presence of such an experienced media company will add value and will benefit all our tenants.
“We fully expect that ITV Yorkshire will contribute to the centre in many ways, for example by forging links with the university and by sharing their expertise with other tenant companies.”

while some of the exchanges between kat and her opponents were confrontational, it was the absolute and [to some people] unreasonable logic and opinions she held that seemed to stir up confrontation.
i think katherine knew deep down that all the comments made on here were in no way personal. i would have thought, for someone with her condition, that an internet forum like this would be the ideal place to practice dealing with the way other people react to her syndrome, because i think its fair to say kat will have to deal with far crueler people than ytv_sophie in her life.
running away was the easy option
