The sofa looks similar in design to the Newsround one - it is a reasonably familiar bit of modern furniture design.

The desks are hideous though. Far too monolithic - I much prefer the various illuminated perspex ones that the national news use. (They also provide flattering uplighting for the "older presenter")

perhaps they knew trying to up light christa's face would be near-impossible, as her enlarged boobydoos are too much of an obstruction.

Funny that Clare Frisby referred to 'New Look Breakfast' here on Look North this morning.

Considering the only new bit was the edge of a red panel just in shot at the left hand side of the frame!

Is anyone else getting a bit annoyed by Claire Frisby at Breakfast these days? She seems to be getting rather shouty and appears to be unable to go straight into the first headline without getting very excited about giving a pointless 'Mark & Lard's Vague News' style travel report such as "It's busy on the roads!" I'd never have guessed at 8.30 on a weekday morning. Maybe someone could switch her coffee to decaff for a bit.

At least it isn't as bad as Calendar with Carolyn.

I had noticed that. She also seems to give herself about 5 seconds at the end to do the travel.

Something like 'Just having a look at the travel now and the M62 is busy around Lofthouse, take it steady, bye bye'

Sadly her 'happy act' comes across as superficial and insincere. When is Gemma set to return? Gemma ought to be promoted to do features on the main evening programme.

Going back to YTV, did anyone see tonight's Calendar? Jon Mitchell and Duncan Wood were at the Emley Moor tower taking advantage of the clear skies and fabulous views. Man the folks at Emley Moor are lucky to have such an advantageous viewpoint. Very Happy

Peter and Paul are currently embarking on a "Sofa on Tour" event in shopping centres around the region.

It was Grimsby today where they were besieged by old grannies, Lincoln next Thursday.

Hull gets custody of Paul tonight with him in the studio, however the graphics weren't animating, just stills. Do Hull not have the capability ?

What's the arrangement in Leeds when Paul is in Hull ? Down the line or another forecaster ?

There's a Sofa Tour in Yorkshire as well. Harry and Christa were at the White Rose Centre the other week.

In Leeds today the weather was from Lisa.

Harry has gone off to the Winter Olympics now, so we've got Ian White joining Christa Ackroyd on the main programme for the next few weeks
