Couldn't agree more Andrew. I've only just realised tonight how lucky I am to recieve the Emley Moor signal. I really feel sorry for those tune in to the Belmont signal and have to put up with that crap.

The regional headlines at 18:00 came from Christa in Leeds. Not sure about 18:15 though.

Hey - that's a little harsh! I'm in Midlands Today territory with Nick Owen Rolling Eyes but I tune into The Peter Levy Show at 6.30pm for the latest happenings and comical goings on, plus a weather forecast from Paul Hudson. I'd much rather watch Peter Levy than Nick Owen. Used to watch Peter Levy at University 4 years ago so it was great to pick him up on digital satellite again.

Peter Levy's show is pure class!!!

He's changed a lot in that 4 years though. From a bit of banter at the end of the news to a bit of news at the start of the banter

Anyway at 7.30 we had a BBC1 London ident but then the Yorkshire & Lincolnshire version of Inside Out as normal

I thought the 'London'/'LDN' version of the BBC ONE ident had been dropped in favour of the national ident?

It has before all regional news programing, but has continued in front of Inside Out London.

I wonder if Ian White will give an explanation for this evening's mistake? That's if we can get any television from Leeds tonight.

Yes, Ian's there. As if nothing happened!

Ian's just apologised for the error. He said "it was due to a major technical difficulty that prevented us from getting on the air", as if we hadn't worked that out.

Was Lisa's weather forecast pan-regional or just for Hull?

Yes - but I can't stand Nick Owen's pitiful wit and arched eyebrows - he makes me cringe. Peter Levy though delivers the latest breaking headlines and comical humour in a 30 minute package with an equally professional weather forecaster with the latest weather warnings and sarcastic comments. A great way to relax after a hard day's work. Very Happy

As long as Nick Owen is there, I will never be loyal to my regional BBC news.

Those who say there is a bit of news at the beginning of the banter - then all that is well and good considering that nothing much happens around Hull. Peter does a cracking job reporting on the few things that do happen and the programme is a joy to watch! Very Happy
