Yes that's right. I've never seen Calendar South, which is way I don't want sky to split ITV1 Yorks up. EPG 103 on my digibox is currently set to ITV1 Yorks W.

Another thing about the Crosspool transmitter is that, apparently, it doesn't relay Channel 5. Everyone tells me they can't get it from Crosspool, and are not in a position to receive the Emley Moor signal. Either that or the UHF number is way off scale from the other four, but I may be wrong (as usual). Smile

According to http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/transmitters/tv_trans/tv_c5.shtml Crosspool/Sheffield does carry Ch5, but yeah it does look like a wideband aerial would be needed - 1-4 are at on 31 27 24 21 and Ch5 is on 67

There's often comments on here about BBC Radio Leeds but does anyone have any opinions on BBC Radio York or Radio Sheffield?

From what I can tell, Radio Sheffield seems to be quite young and up to date, what with Toby Foster presenting, whereas Radio York seems quite old fashioned, anyone any opinions?

By the way, it seems that David Smith has permanently replaced the other bloked who's name I've forgotten on Radio Leeds travel news at breakfast time. I prefered the other guy as David has a tendancy to summarise the entire traffic situation in one sentance

I agree, on the whole with the comments about Radio Sheffield as you have the likes of Toby Foster, Live at Five Thirty and Football Heaven, all aimed at a younger audience. Saying that there is Frank Woppitt or Jerry Kersy on Monday night playing war time music so obviously they are catering for all ages with a balance I believe they have struck quite well.

Uncle Peter tonight is asking the question or S@@@ Stirring about the name of Humberside. Should we ban it from the fire & police not to mention a certain corporations radio station - maybe we could have a competition where the listeners get to choose the name!

And then end up choosing not to change at all.

Today's Calendar Lunchtime News didn't go quite to plan. They seemingly didn't know they were on air so we crashed from ITV News into the rehersal with the camera moving from side to side. After a while Gaynor then started the bulletin again proper.

If you know how you can watch the bulletin online

Strange how they were unaware that they were on-air; even so, the anchor seemed to be uneasy still when she was reading the headlines 'for real'...

They''ve been short staffed on Calendar this week. Gaynor has been filling-in on Calendar as well as doing her usual stint reading Calendar South throughout the day

Therefore they needed someone to read Calendar South during Calendar itself. So they roped in old stalwart Peter McNerney

Meanwhile Faye Barker was back yesterday, doing a bit of freelance reporting

Unless someone from here has recorded it then you can't. ITV afaik do not re-broadcast the news on there website.

They were short staffed again on tonight's Calendar. Christine and Duncan read the news round-up instead of a seperate presenter
