it might make peter seem young and groovy today, but he'll curse himself tomorrow when he gets varicose veins
Not to mention piles, that sofa may look comfy but its as hard as nails.
i don't know why peter can't do the show down the line from his lounge, because his guests are down the line and the weather's down the line - he's already half way there.

Yeah, the same was true just before Christmas when he interviewed Claire Sweeney down the line from Nottingham (she was in panto at the Theatre Royal). Obviously
EMT
territory (indeed she was intervied live by Dom, so I assume Peter's interview was pre-recorded since the interview was done on the
EMT
set, but actually many houses in the Nottinghamshire area (especially the Mansfield/Chesterfield areas) point towards Belmont.
I can certainly vouch for that - having once lived a mere 10 miles north of Nottingham city, and finding that Belmont's signal was far better than Waltham - so it was definitely Yorkshire news over East Midlands news for us.
It is the overlap area as downstairs on analogue I get BBC One Yorks and Lincs, so can see The Peter Levy Show, whereas upstairs I get BBC One Yorkshire, so can see Harry and Christa.
In Crosspool, I can only get Emley Moor, not Belmont.
Without wanting to open up an old argument, that's because there is a transmitter in Crosspool itself (known variously as Sheffield, Tapton Hill and Crosspool) which is a relay of Emley for everything except Yorkshire which is properly fed because this is the transmitter for Calendar South.
Yes, I wasn't intending to re-ignite this ancient arguement Steve, so my apologies if that's how it appeared.
The aerial on my roof points north west to Emley Moor. However, despite living in Crosspool, I cannot receive any signal whatsoever from the relay transmitter up the road. This is because Crosspool is actually on a steep hill. You don't notice your on a hill when in Crosspool, but if you view Crosspool from a distance, the rise becomes very obvious. The relay transmitter lies at the highest point on Tapton Bank. My house is on the western side of the hill, close to Rivelin, and so I cannot recieve anything from the transmitter.
