Two Calendar related questions. Firstly, why did they used to use the cso studio for their morning bulletins only until this year instead of the main studio?
Secondly, does anyone know what Yunus Muller is doing these days, has he left YTV?

I did see him on Sky News a while ago. I don't know if he's there full-time or just freelancing. Perhaps he also took voluntary redundancy along with many of the others.

The past 4 days of Look North has been presented by Harry Gration and Penny Bustin.

Christa will probably be back next week

Oh if you're not going to say anything constructive 'fromthenorth' then don't post. There are enough trolls here, we don't need another one.

I'm undecided on Penny, but she is a good presenter. I think Look North sshouldd adopt what Calendar is doing, by having more reporters presenting. It was good to see Blair Jacobs on Look North Hull last week, he did a great job.

Is it really necessary to cronicle every presenter change, its very dull and boring.

Presenters are human, and believe it or not are allowed holidays / time off / off-screen breaks.

I'm not a troll thank you.

So, should there be more sport in Look North? Perhaps presented by one of the sports reporters in the studio?

I suggest you read some other threads here like the BBC News 24 and BBC World ones for a start, where people send a search party out and call the missing persons helpline if an obsure overnight presenter has one day off on a Bank Holiday in August.

Then you'd see posts about presenters in this thread in a whole different light

Don't mind me, just gettin' me waders on...

OK, it's odd to the casual outsider why anyone would bother documenting all and any possible presenter change but this is the forum which quite literally revolves around the personalities of the roling news channels and gave birth to a fairly long thread on the basis that someone was wearing a black tie and that if there was the slightest hint of dark clothes meant an embargo on a death or other large news story, oh yes. It's part of the fabric of the forum and if it wasn't the news presenters, it'd be the IVC annos if they were still around, trust me. Or not.

There you go, public service, never said I've done nothing nice... Me waders are full, out I come. Nice seeing you all..

Theres a good job going at BBC ULL its being advertised with a view to filling the position by February.
Editor wanted for Look North, Must be able to handle presenter who has massive ego and rude to any one and everyone. Must be able to stand up to staff who revolted and got rid of the last editor. Must not try to introduce news into programme in case it mucks up the ratings. Apply Helen Thomas, HLRP BBC ULL, Queenies Castle, ULL.

Is it available on job share?

If so, I know a couple of people from Bristol who might just be suitable.

The BBC is an equal oppertunities employer so they have to consider all applicants - its a bit of a risk relocating to Hull for what could be such a short appointment. These people would need a rugged constitution and have no hang ups about having no news in a news programme. They would need to prove they have experience in producing bland and insipid programming however they have an excellent asset in the programme presenter. Laughing
