What the heck went on with today's lunchtime Look North (Leeds)? To start with, we were treated to a couple of minutes of Peter Levy in Hull, then back to Leeds, but with sound repeatedly cutting off... then back to Hull... then back to Leeds with the same sound problems. Very poor.
Are Hull covering the Yorkshire Ripper case?
If not, it definally was poor

Even if they were, it'd be impossible to follow anything as it chopped and changed between the two, with the sound coming and going. I should mention, this was on analogue I saw this... not sure if the problems were the same on digital services.

There was no banter about the appearance of Peter Levy though. Blue Rinsers across Yorkshire and the North Midlands probably thought he'd retired.
I've just posted these photos of the now part-demolished old BBC Leeds building TV Studio Buildings thread, but thought it might be worth sticking them here too if anyone's interested...
And you don't have to work motorcycle helmets there either.
Yes, great. If you don't mind spending your days with a load of sweaty squaddies in 90 degree heat. And great if you only like doing stories about squaddies.
Has Helen Philpott left Hull for good? It's a pity if she has. She is wasted on Forces telly.
"Fake Smiles. Well, it's the art that every celebrity has to master, and that's the art of smiling even if you don't really feel like smiling and faking it! I see there is a survey out - a list of the top ten fake smilers in this country. Victoria Beckham is the number one, and at number two is Tony Blair. Apparently, we don't think his smile is genuine. Robert Kilroy Silk is number three, Prince Charles' fake smile is at number four and Dale Winton, that's quite a surprise, he's at number five of fake smilers"
