Indeed. I'm sure she'll be popular with national viewers, at least the male viewers anyway
And I suspect, if it all goes well next week, it won't be the last we see of her on the national weather...

Awww no Jon Mitchell - he's usually the stand in for the national team should one of the usuals not be available.
It won't be the same without "Here's your sumareeeeeeeeeeee"
Indeed... I can think of no more than two reasons why Jo was picked...

The following comes from a 'Levy letter':
Pictures
If ever you're out and you witness an accident, or fire or some other newsworthy event and you get a picture of it on your mobile phone or maybe your video camera, or if you know of anyone else who has, then we would like to know about it, so we can use it on the programme and put them on Look North. Do get in touch with us straight away.
Surely if you have evidence of accidents, fires etc should you not be contacting the authorities as opposed to Look Hull. How responsible is this?

Indeed although I don't think any other region is writing it down and phrasing it in such a manner.
Over on Calendar and there was some sort of bash going on to celebrate 50 years of ITV tonight. Calendar's Entertainment Reporter Nicola Sands was there mixing with guests such as Charles Allen

Granada had a big bash at Manchester Town Hall last week, they even did a Live OB with Paul Crone and some girls from Coronation Street, but I couldn't help notice Charles Allen in the background, he wasn't interviewed mind you.

He wasn't interviewed here either, just refered to as being the big boss and then Nicola interviewed stars from Heartbeat and The Royal.
Moving back over to the BBC, and after the proper Look North there was an as-live but obviously not live trailer for BBC Radio Leeds, with Andrew Edwards and Julie Langford stood in the Radio Leeds studio advertising what would be on tommorow's breakfast show. One of Radio Leeds's beds was playing in the background.
I bet the commercial stations would love that sort of free advert rather than spending loads of money on adverts like Real Radio have been doing!

Tonight there was a special edition of Calendar. John Shires was in the studio with Christine Talbot hosting the grand reopening of Sheffield City Hall in conjunction with "Big John" from Hallam FM.
Someone in the gallery was also on the ball tonight as when they showed the impressive fireworks, they took the Calendar DOG off.
Look North and Tom Ingall turned up half an hour later and missed most of the action, meanwhile in Hull, Aled Jones was in conversation with Peter Levy
