I also thought that Mike McCarthy was a notable absentee. Even if he does now work for Sky, I don't see that a one-off appearance for a reunion would hurt.

Well he was on the recorded tribute - played at lunch and 1830, complete with "i'm now at sky news" and sitting in front of tv screen with big sky news logo on it...! [as t'other steve beat me to saying... see, great name, great minds...]

Also both BBC1 and BBC2 local news pages (160) weren't local last night - BBC 1 was London, BBC 2 was North West. Presumably all the plugs had been pulled out and are now reconnected down the road....!

hmm surprised at it being BBC2 North West - I thought Emley would RBR Sutton Coldfield if it lost its feed, unless it's some sort of lash up to get the Superleague Show on the air...

I only saw the late bulletin, and noticed he wasn't amongst the throng in the studio which they repeated. Serves me right for forgetting to set the video for 6.30!

Incidentally does anyone know if there's anything special planned for the very last broadcast from Woodhouse Lane on Sunday? Ian White said last night he'd be doing it, and knowing what an anorak he is, I'd be surprised if we don't get something special.

repeat performance of behind the scenes in the self-op maybe?

Maybe they could do as Radio Leeds did and present the bulletin starting at Woodhouse Lane and ending at Quarry Hill. I know it's a short bulletin so he'd have to run, but I'd quite like to see someone reading the news whilst running!

Incidentally I don't suppose anyone with the appropriate facilities managed to record the Woodhouse Lane tribute on Friday's main programme? If someone is able to post it as a movie clip, it'd make me very happy!

They'd be hard pressed to match the end of the last Look East from All Saints Green.

Outside view of the old Georgian House, the lights on in all the windows. Stewart White and Suzie Fowler-Wall close the front doors, and then one-by-one all the lights go out. -Sad!

i do hope bbc north have revised their fire evacuation plan for their new building to account for christa's new oversized breasts. i'd consider them a fire hazard.

What a 'practical' suggestion.....

Oh, and if you bothered to read the thing properly, they were LIFTED, not enlarged.

I saw a thing on Hollywood Minute that said they explode in a cloud of halon extinguishing electrical fires. I think she'll need to paint them red to meet Heath & Safety regs though.

Oh don't be naïve. Next you'll be telling me they shrunk her torso.

but as halon extinguishers work by replacing the oxygen in the room I think that exploding breasts would be the least of your worries...

Are there any pics of the new studio yet? The Look North Website hasn't even acknowledged the changeover yet.

Isn't there a webcam installed in the studio?
