Its a national promotion for two weeks and all the stuff was made centrally - just for the record they as it was made some time ago they suddenly realised that they may well have to change the name so had to reshoot (at great expense) the bits with Look North in it. The promotions dept were not exactly very happy.

As Jon said last week it seems the weather team have moved from their own room to an area in the YTV regional production studio. The set looks like a load of junk from old sets, there's a Calendar bench there, and a wall from some sort of regional production, plus the brick effect wall from Soccer Night

I passed the Yorkshire Television office / studio in Hull yesterday and they have a sign in the window saying "LEASE FOR SALE". Does anyone know if they are moving to another site in Hull or are they pulling out of Hull and leaving Look North as the only TV presence in the area?

When did they show the image of the studio? Also, YTV had another presenter on this week, a woman (can't remember her name) she was blonde. Are these people temporary or permanent?

For god sake, someone give YTV some money and reinstate that chevron in it's rightful place, it just looks stupid saying Yorkshire Television

As far as I know it has a small studio for live links to Leeds (for example if they want to interview Prescott, David Davies or someone similar) and is used as a base for the Hull based reporters. In the past full editions of Calendar have come from Hull - not very often I admit and they were usually poor.
It used to have a shop, this closed down some years ago. The studio is in the Prospect Shopping Centre which makes no sense so they could just be moving.
