I hope you got to keep the tile as a memento Katherine!

Nope, afraid not - it would have been totally impractical to carry home on the train anyway - too big! I did get a new picture of Helen, Paul and Peter and a BBC Radio Humberside pen though....

Oh, and a new publicity postcard of Helen Philpot is now available from BBC Hull reception!

I understand Humberside Police are getting the crowd control measures out in force in anticipation... Smile

I got an embroidered coaster from a 'fan' last week - it was very touching, if not somewhat unnerving.

I noticed the BBC Radio Humberside grey bus (as opposed to the BBC NI yellow one...) was in Howden last Friday, I didn't stop to take a further look as I was heading off to Liverpool for the weekend.

Were there any outside broadcasts on Radio Humberside/LN Hull from Howden on Friday?

Paul Hudson is on holiday this week - Liam Dutton did the weather for both Hull and Leeds this lunchtime. Got the impression it's going to be Lisa Gallagher for the bulk of the week's forecasts....

Appearing soon in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, two brand new adverts, starring Peter Levy, Helen Fospero, Paul Hudson, about 200 people from the region and ME! Went off to the filming of these, called 'The Big Photo' in Hull today, and have just got back.

Will feature lots of cheering, arm waving, sweeping camera shots of the group from above using (what do you call them? Booms? Jibs?) and people holding tiles in the air, which will form A) a map of the region and B) a huge picture of Helen, Paul and Peter! I was tile holder 114 BTW, and in the centre of the tile-holders will be Paul, Helen and Peter!

There will be a 'making of' article or two on Look North shortly, and the new adverts will be used on television, cinema, sides of buses, billboards etc... all over East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire from mid-October! Great fun and a brilliant experience.

Speechless!!!!!! Just which part of auntie is actually paying for this jolly then? I don't want my hard earned money spent on some 'adverts' promoting some half-baked sub-region. If the BBC wants to spend money on adverts, then why doesn't it take them as commercials - but oh no, that would spoil the individuality of this great corporation.

I presume you got some lunch from this do, Kat? At the very least some smooching from Mr Hudson.

The abuse of power at the BBC must stop. This is just getting pathetic.

Under the auspices of Radio Humberside or has it been borrowed presumably for something related to the Lib Dem Conference? I seem to remember Radio Leeds nicking it for the Bradford Mela or some similar event.

Yes, it's there for the Lib Dem conference. It was simply referred to as the "BBC bus" on the flyers I saw, and will be back in Bournemouth for the Tory conference in a couple of weeks. I was working in the exhibition hall all day so I didn't get a chance to get outside and have a proper look.

I think they were using the on-board radio studio as a facility for delegates from around the country to do down-the-line interviews with their local radio stations.
