I only say it because he's a man of good character and despite what certain people on here say, a much-loved Yorkshire celebrity

Or that you've got that little to do in your day that you spend it attacking someone who doesn't deserve any criticism..... and I thought I was weird....

A little unfair don't you think since I'm currently undertaking a multitude of freelance work and working damn hard to run two radio station's news departments when I'm the only one. Not easy.

And then I don't see you in gainful employment, so perhaps you shouldn't throw stones.

Who would you rather see, Dickie Bird (a man of good character and despite what certain people on here say, a much-loved Yorkshire celebrity) or someone who has gained fame through less scrupulous means?

Someone who has gained fame through less scrupulous means.

Well in that case there's always Nell McAndrew who I'm sure is on Calendar just as often as Dickie's on Look North.

I know who I'd prefer to invite to a dinner party from those two.....

Wonder whether there have been memos flying after Spotlight's forecast yesterday (see the Weathe Forecast thread)

I happened to flick Real Radio on this morning and was surprised to hear none other than Calendar's Faye Barker co-presenting the Breakfast show. She does get about doesn't she?

Excellent. At last, somebody other than myself, Alf and the much lamented YTV Sophie has cottoned on to the fact that Kat is barking and without a single useful purpose on this planet.

Back to more useful comments, Dickie 'Turd' is a timefiller. They use to use him regularly at YTV bacause he lived near and would drop anything to get on TV. Nell maybe on Calendar a lot, but as she's easy on the eye, fine by me.

Maybe so, but the standard of reporting on tonight's show was very good, especially surrounding the arrest of Colin Inglis, and the John Godber article too.

Interesting that the regional spin-off from Leeds is "A Picture of Yorkshire". The one from Hull is called "A Picture of Hull" No I'm not making it up!

At the risk of spoiling a good conspiracy theory, BBC NorthWest had "A Picture of Manchester". I note that they've now found a way to get regional EPG data on DSat other than for Look North

A different look during GMTV this morning, with a non corporate Calendar logo on the plasma. The presenter is Rachel Philips
