I draw the gentleman's attention to the sound effect on the front of "Back in the USSR" on "The White Album".

Here's some pictures of the new Yorkshire weather sponsorship. Probably the strangest ever in the history of YTV weather - Ballsen biscuits. They seem to be based on a stereotype that we have bad weather all the time in Yorkshire. The captions arn't 14:9 safe either

does anyone think the straps look as if they have been produced in microsoft powerpoint 2003 using the animation setting THREAD or is it just me.

when the national news relaunched i hav a go at creating them and think the animation is very similar to the new calendar ones although the calendar animation is not the same as the national ones.

More changes on Calendar. Following in the footsteps of Look North who dropped the seperate fixed camera bulletin studio when they moved to the new building and now do all bulletins in the main studio, Calendar is now doing the same, at least for viewers in the Calendar News area

Here's Gemma Calleja with the morning news headlines from Calendar, coming from the main studio

On Calendar itself, the News Round-Up is now done stood up by the plasma screen. Duncan and Christine handed over to Michelle Gee seen here

Tonight's Calendar with the new animated backdrop, looks like we've seen the end of the fixed four squares

A new animated caption

The headlines at the start now animate by breaking into squares just like on the national news as well

How many more times is the Calendar news studio going to change?

The first backdrop was the best, with the London Tonight plasma video. The second one was tacky with the still squares and vile bright blue background. This one is quite nice. They must be wanting to use them up before the new look ITV.

With more posts under your belt than anyone else, I'm sure you don't need the much-used reminder that this *is* a television presentation forum. Wink
