Of course the real reason that Peter Levy was on the air is that Equity weren't striking...

On the same sort of level, I notice Darragh Corcoran was hosting the so called DriveTime show on Radio Leeds this afternoon as normal

I believe the Lunchtime It's Your Call programme was presented by Alex Hall

So, let me get this straight, did Alex work until 1am this morning, then back for Breakfast and then Lunchtime ?

Strewth, if she's on in her usual slot again tonight she's going to be crabbier than usual !!

She often stands in for other people during the day, generally not at 6.30am though, she gets as far as BBC Radio Merseyside now.
Alex presenting with the Radio Leeds boss this morning surely means she'll be in a job for a long time now!

I don't know what you mean Andrew Very Happy

Talking of radio, I was driving behind a bus down the Kirkstall Road today in Leeds, and noticed Umberto on the back of it. How long has he been on 8-1am on Real Radio ?? Seems like a long shift, and in direct opposition with Alex, two radio legends are you torn ? Did he extend when Diana Luke defected ?

Nope - I am hoping I'll hear Peter's side of the story.... wouldn't like to pass judgement yay or nay until I hear both sides to the story.

I find it rather alarming people are baying to the point of salivation for my reaction on here... what are you hoping I'll say?

As far as I can make out from my position (thankfully not on Peter) that only this post asks you for your opinion on the BBC strike and why Peter Levy crossed the picket line. I detect a slight air of self-importance in your posts.

Just to let you know that the YTV/Calendar sports department picked up two RTS awards for it's sport programming last night (justifiably celebrated on tonight's packed show). Not daft little internal awards (your opinion I believe) but real industry ones. By the way, what makes you think that Levy will give you a blow by blow breakdown of his strike actions - you're hardly best buddies.

According to Broadcast, John Shires hit out at ITV in his acceptance speech, saying that the cutbacks mean that it's the last time anyone from YTV will be able to pick up a sports award.
