Using Helen Fospero leaving as an example of your accuracy was what I was objecting too. With your timing it most likely was an educated guess. As to the Peter rumours:
Keep in mind that we are at BBC Hull's review time. That means that all posibilities are currently being considered. That includes programme content, presenters, reporters, focus area's, % news v % entertainment...
To take that full set of information that was available to you (assuming your sources are as good as you claim, which I still doubt), and to contact Katherine to tell her Peter might be leaving/being sacked, which is what you appear to have done, just seems really unfair to me when you know how much the show means to her.
Surely your credability would be much better if you either gave out accurate information with good timing or kept your wild guesses to yourself.

That reminds me - I'm posting my CV to them tomorrow. I did go to post it today but missed the last post from the box!

I don't really care if I only end up making the tea or performing rudimentary fetching and carrying - if I make it to Look North in either Leeds or Hull in a salaried position I'm fulfilled.

I've just seen the new 6:30pm Look North start up. Instead of the BBC News closing titles, a BBC1 trailer and a local BBC1 ident, the Look North Titles start as soon as George and Sophie in London say goodbye. How ridiculous.

Same in all regions. The nations have done it like that for years.

Only on very odd occasions did Reporting Scotland cut them off - we normally got the closing titles, but then straight into the headlines.

I was meaning more the lack of trailer and ident has been evident in the nations. Sorry for the confusion
