Anyone else hear the rumour that the Hull show has been placed under 'special measures' over its poor news content?

Seriously, how much effort does it take to utter one word if you know it's going to make someones day?

He's made my day several times - calling me in his e-mails 'loyal and kind', 'a great supporter', 'an incredible person'......

Oh yes, those emails that the guy who openly admits he hasnt got a clue about computers writes?! I forgot about those. Sorry if that sounds a little nasty, but last time I looked he read printouts of selected emails, that were deemed 'useful' and scrawls things like 'yes', 'no', 'thanks' on the bottom of them. His minions then type up the emails to fit, adding appropriate niceties... But maybe I'm not supposed to say that? AND just to cover my back, maybe I'm wrong, maybe he does do his own emails, I can only comment on how I see things on the rare occasions I'm in there.

Shocked do you feel cheated katherine?

No - because I KNOW he writes them himself! He's told me that himself, and I trust his word over any forumer on here.

Tonight's Calendar was presented by Christine Talbot and Tim Iredale with all the election results. Duncan Wood was on the OB in Selby with the ballot box jury for the very last time.

Tonight's Look North was presented by Harry Gration. Christa Ackroyd was on an OB. A flasher ran past in the background.

The Hull edition was with Peter Levy

If this is the case, why has it recently been nominated for a Ruby award?

I can't see them getting rid of Hull ok its Peter Levy and i do like his liveliness but i do agree the content doesn't seem to work with him, especially now he iscon his own, i just think he needs a new co presenter and also a new producer maybe?

Like Gordon Brown the other day, Chancellor of the Exchequer? Oh, and he was in Goole, quite a distance from the Look Hull outfit you talk of all the time......

The trouble with emails is that you never know who you're talking with. I quite like the idea that he does have some input into the content of his personal mail, It's just never happened in my presence... 'tvmerica', maybe you are being a little harsh, unless you KNOW exactly how much input he has, at all times in all messages?

Maybe because the Police are supposed to make themselves an example of law-abiding citizenship and abide by the law of the land just like any other citizen? Don't you think parking a Police car on double yellows jeopardises that example?

I thought that one started internally on April 1st?
I wish they'd just get him a new 'co-star'. Preferably a decent journalist, rather than just a presenter, as I think part of the problem is that people are becoming demotivated to find stories, at the moment whoever puts the graft in Peter gets the 'glory'...

Yes, it does, but there is no point asking someone a question if you insist on talking over the answer, is there?

No - but Gordon Brown hadn't done anything lawfully wrong and would therefore have been able to have more of a free rein during the interview. The policeman did breach the law, so I presume Peter tried hard to be more interrogative towards the policeman owing to the nature of the reason for interview.
