Is it going on your CV ? Be careful not to over qualify yourself for anything the BBC might offer you.

Des (hospital radio boss) is willing to act as a reference! I now have about 6-7 cumulative hours of experience on-air and am improving with the record/CD/Minidisc cueing. I have a good rapport with patients and don't mind talking to them as I might be the only non-nurse person they see all day.

Seriously, how much effort does it take to utter one word if you know it's going to make someones day?

He's made my day several times - calling me in his e-mails 'loyal and kind', 'a great supporter', 'an incredible person'......

Oh yes, those emails that the guy who openly admits he hasnt got a clue about computers writes?! I forgot about those. Sorry if that sounds a little nasty, but last time I looked he read printouts of selected emails, that were deemed 'useful' and scrawls things like 'yes', 'no', 'thanks' on the bottom of them. His minions then type up the emails to fit, adding appropriate niceties... But maybe I'm not supposed to say that? AND just to cover my back, maybe I'm wrong, maybe he does do his own emails, I can only comment on how I see things on the rare occasions I'm in there.

Sorry Kat, but it's probably ****. I know you think a lot of Look North/BBC but when I we get e-mails from people who just bang on about things for ages we usually send a stock reply. It's rubbish I know, but if we replied to every person in detail about every small thing, we'd never work.

Remember there is a full 30 minute programme from your region at 9am on BBC ONE (No doubt with Cathy Killick in Yorkshire and Peter Levy actually doing proper news in Hull) and at 9.55am on ITV1

Look North Leeds provided a traditional programme with Harry Gration. Winners and Losers in the studio, reports from the counts around the region, that sort of thing

Hull did their own unique take on the election programme. Peter Levy presenting the programme from the BBC Open Centre talking to safe seat Grimsby's Austin Mitchell and a load of students. There was banter with Austin about the orange juice being BBC orange juice and free of charge. Most of the programme seemed pre-planned and talking about issues seemed a bit pre-election rather than post. There was hardly any reports from counts. There was also a competition to try and get equipment in shot all the time!. They also reran reports from Look North including one where Peter Levy went on the streets of Hull with the police

Tonight's Calendar was presented by Christine Talbot and Tim Iredale with all the election results. Duncan Wood was on the OB in Selby with the ballot box jury for the very last time.

Tonight's Look North was presented by Harry Gration. Christa Ackroyd was on an OB. A flasher ran past in the background.

The Hull edition was with Peter Levy

Anyone else hear the rumour that the Hull show has been placed under 'special measures' over its poor news content?

What would 'special measures' be ?

I hope it doesn't mean that Peter's end of the pier showbiz chats with classic 80's entertainers will cease. As Katherine always tells us, it's about the light and the shade, or in this case, the showbiz spotlight.
