Laughing It feels like forever ago when Helen left! AND my opinion of her in no way affects my opinion of Peter.
This is the man who was once told by one of his collegues that an old lady had been waiting in the BBC foyer for over an hour, just to see him, so it would be nice if he could say 'hello' as he popped out for his sandwich. He went out the other door and walked round to avoid her.
I won't keep this up but I could give litterally hundreds of examples of his attitude that I've personally witnessed that just make me feel a little uncomfortable...


peter doesnt sound like a very nice man does he. perhaps all work and no play make peter a dull boy?

Hmm.... both Satellite and analogue BBC1 went off air shortly after Look North started, and didn't return until halfway through the hext programme, Neighbours. A 'Temporary Fault' message came up and at about 13:55, Neighbours came back on Satellite, but not analogue for another good five minutes..... how would that happen? All other terrestrial channels were fine but it was only BBC1 that had the total blackout.....

UPDATE: Apparently it was a total power failure at Hull's end of things. Even the link to Paul went down 15 seconds before he went on air.

Hmm strange - I thought it was all engineered so that network just passed straight through if power failed.. unless it fell back to Leeds and they're set up to send an apology caption rather than their own programme.

He's made my day several times - calling me in his e-mails 'loyal and kind', 'a great supporter', 'an incredible person'......
