It is getting painful to watch - I am surprised that they can get away with it . Or are they? Will someone higher up in the beeb give them a roasting? Or is Hull just ignored by the big wigs?

Anyone 'on the inside' care to comment?

I do admit, even I am finding some of the programme not so much painful, but itchy. I do hope they re-think their presenter policy and return a woman to Peter's side. Maybe Paul's return might buoy him a bit!

BUT I thought they couldnt....?

I can confirm no celebrities of any list status are to be see in the vicinity of the BBC studios at this moment, will keep my eyes peeled for Mr Levy.

Colm O'Rourke, TV Forum News, Queen's Gardens.

For anyone who has ever visited the studios here in Hull, you'll know that there's a window where you can see what's happening in the BBC Radio Humberside studios... and at the moment, they're watching a non-BBC channel on the studio TV screen!

I will check before I head to get my bus if they still have pictures of Helen Fospero in reception... Smile

Tonight's Calendar was a first, no Gaynor tonight so instead it was presented by Duncan Wood and Faye Barker

Raj Shukla reporting, remember when she used to read the news

with Faye presenting, Jason McCartney did the news round-up

Which meant that the sport was done by Paul Burland

I actually felt it worked better with Lisa, tbh. The Peter and Paul show was getting to the point where I didn't have a clue what the weather was doing, AND Lisa leaves the words up on the screen long enough for you to figure them out if you're a bit slow, like me. Tonight was the only time during her stint I didn't figure it out, and Peter got it - for the first time ever I think!

On the subject of the BBC watching other channels: Yesterday three people I wont name, round a screen in the corner, watching Helen F presenting Five News... Maybe they call it research?

All of the placenames this past fortnight have been my ideas, apart from tonight's one! Got it BTW.....

It's about time they used Faye for the main presenting role. I really think she's the best presenter Calendar's got... although I wonder how long it'll be before she gets something more permanent at the ITV News Channel.

That reminds me of the height discrepancy between Clare Balding and Willie Carson on the BBC's horse racing programming!! Someone give the girl a box!

Interesting little article in this week's Boston Standard about a locational faux pas on Look North Hull.....

Quote:
BOSTON was renamed by the BBC on Monday. During election coverage on BBC One's Look North show a caption detailing the candidates for the Boston and Skegness constituency mistakenly read Bolton and Skegness.

The error was featured twice during the programme presented by Peter Levy, who seemed totally unaware of the blunder.

Tut tut.
