Naah - means a pause in my train of thought..... they used re-shaped bone cut from my right hip, you know..... oh, and I've had my lower jaw shortened and my upper jaw lengthened too (op was 1997).

Five hours in surgery and three months with my jaws wired together on an adapted fixed brace. Lost a stone and a half on the liquidised diet as well......... my mum knew best on what to liquidise! Tomato soup and baked beans was a favourite, as was chocolate mousse liquidised with milk and vanilla ice cream....

I didn't say newsreader. Okay, I'm not comparing like with like here, but your average Corrie or Emmerdale actor for example gets well under £100k (except for those who've been in it for years). They're in the nation's most popular programmes, and all Christa Ackroyd does is read the regional news - not that I'm doing down the role of local TV presenters - I just don't think she's worth it at all. I'm sure there are many other people doing the same job (and better) for a lot less money.

You wouldn't pick her to advertise L'Oreal products then?

It's all gone a bit funny tonight here in sunny Hull - I re-tuned my freeview box this evening and never gave it a thought until the local news came on at 1030. Look North has gone and I now have LOOK EAST!!! How the blinking hell did that happen?

May have to tell it to re-tune again, wonder what I will get next?
