Head of Channel four news will probably be gone by 5pm.

For what, someone on their team transcribing what it really sounds like the prime minister said but apparently didn't?

Because the story will become that Channel four news is being effectively boycotted by the government and a survival instinct might overtake them - that something needs to be done or they will be abolished.

Yes, the top priority of the incoming government will be to abolish Channel 4. Top of the list. Because everything else in the world is fine........

I’m sorry, and I respect your opinion and you’re entitled to it, but your post is preposterous. Utterly preposterous. (In my opinion).

No hard feelings.

Oh please! This is ludicrous. To me it sounded like talent, but I can understand how it was misheard, it wasn't very clear, and I think that might have been the intention. But this from the Tories is right out of the Fox News/Republican Party playbook of smears, and frankly, it should be given the short shrift it deserves.

Boris Johnson will be LIVE on Sophy Ridge this weekend. As will Jo Swinson.

So, he’s appearing on any outlet possible, apart from the BBC. Lol.

I’ve watched the Channel 4 clip a million times, and am sure he said colour. Either way, whether colour or talent, the word was omitted from the subtitle. Rather dubious.

But, it’s all just become a big noise now. We’ve lost all sense of normality over this particular election. The noise is deafening yet the substance is zero.

Time for a wee break, methinks.....

ITN reputation on ITV and Channel five could suffer soon as well.
I think it's safe to say Channel four wont exist as it does in 2024 if the tories win a majority.

Remind me how the Tories complaint about being empty chaired went again?

The strong visualisation of hexagons is interesting in the BBC election branding. I'd love to know why the hexagon concept was chosen, an unusual choice of shape. Immediately thought honeycomb looking at the set and if the Lib Dem yellow had been represented it really would have been. What's the psychology of hexagons?

the tessellation is a key part of their visual appeal I think. case in point, the cartograms on constituency pages you'll be able to look at on election night...

Stop falling for Tory propaganda.

The worse the Tories would do is privatise C4 anyway.

Channel 4 has been under constant threat since it first opened in 1982, so 37 years later, nothing changes. Channel 4 will remain as it is. It is successful as it is, why rock the boat. It is self funded by advertising and receives no licence fee money - take your attention away from Channel 4 and focus on the BBC, that is where the tories want to look at again, not Channel 4
