The BBC might fell that it has too whatever the date. They clearly planned to do in March.

_do_ what exactly? monitor the dover strait for an immediate post-brexit implosion?
I think they planned in March basically two hours of talking heads and VT's looking back on the UK membership and the referendum - with reports from London, Belfast, Dublin, Brussels and so on.
31st January is a friday for the record.

Sounds like thrilling television.....

I think I'd rather watch a recording of Tv-am's first ever hour from their launch day

Leader of the opposition up for debates.

The messy situation is should Farage take part. I personally think any party with no sitting MPs shouldn't be involved at all, but generally it is better to expose the likes of Farage than silence them.

I don’t think we’ll see Johnson avoid them like May did. He’s better in a debate than he is in a one-on-one interview.

ITV with IAC probably aren't going to have prime slots available unless it's Tuesdays at 8pm or even Sunday at 7 or 8pm, the latter probably won't happen as it'll be hit by Strictly and His Dark Materials. Corbyn didn't want to do a debate with May on the BBC last year if it clashed with IAC.

To be fair, ITV would probably pick a Tuesday anyway. They can run it 7:30 until 9:00 or even 7:00-9:00 bumping Emmerdale into a double episode another night, or wait until the final week of campaigning when I’m a Celeb is over.

And yes Farage should be included, considering how Brexit will dominate the campaign it’d be odd not to include the Brexit Party, no matter what you may think of him or his views.

I suspect ITV would rather have an hour to 90 minutes as two hours is a lot and probably would hurt the ad revenue that Emmerdale brings at 7pm.

I think they should allow the other broadcasters to put their hat into the ring for debates, I know BBC One and ITV are preferred due to their reach but it would be interesting to see Channel 4 tackle it given they did the Conservative Leadership debates and even Channel 5 who have dipped their toe into political programming in recent months and probably they could get Jeremy Vine or Paxman to front their debate.

Didn't he avoid some during the leadership election?

All he's really got is a lot of bluster and not a lot else. That can get you so far in a debate, and may give you a few good moments, but I'm not certain he's got enough to fall back on.
