Parliament sitting on Christmas eve for important Brexit votes would be quite challenging for Broadcasters.

They managed OK on Christmas Eve 1979 when Russia invaded Afghanistan Cool

Would love to have been a fly on the wall of the newsroom when that story came over the wires.

Soviet tanks rolling into another country. Almost Cold war news porn.

It caused a kerfuffle on PoV, because Peter Woods delivered the headline stood up next to a big map !

Would it be that challenging? BBC Parliament carry it in full. There isn't usually a great deal of domestic news on Christmas Eve so the News Channels will carry what that want. They might have access to fewer pundits but i'm not sure that's a bad thing!

If the plans are anything like the past couple of years the BBC will be planning on running on skeleton staffing from 5pm on the 19th December until the new year. The days in which the news channel ran a near normal service on all but the bank holidays over christmas (including duel headed presentation on the working days) are long gone.

As if they wouldn't adjust their staffing if the news agenda warranted it

Can’t see it mentioned anywhere else but really like what David Lowe has done to the old election theme tune. Used on the Andrew Neil interview tonight.

IS the SKY NEWS debate going ahead? there has been very little promotion of it.

The extra bit of desk has appeared at ITV News.
More or less confirmation that ITV's election night coverage will come from the main studio, should we need it.

They don't really have much choice at ITN, with only three studios available there.

As a studio it works very well but I think the graphics area has been pretty poor the last couple of times - just not as clear to see on screen as it could be with it all being done in the same studio and the graphics being somewhat side on. Would be better to flip around and use the London desk area for that.

Did Julie have her extra desk last time or was that back in 2015?

The GMB studio would be pretty good for election coverage. Large video wall and multiple presentation areas.

I notice there's another Andrew Neil interview listed for tonight, yet nowhere seems to be telling us which party leader he is interviewing.

I think the issue is Boris hasn’t confirmed when or even if he’ll participate.
