BBC's main coverage which will also be on BBC World News throughout. BBC World News schedules show special programming through to 22:00 on the 13th while the News Channel currently has a normal schedule showing at present but I expect it will be simulcast there also.

POLITICAL: Election 2019
On: BBC One HD (115/101)
Date: Thursday 12th December 2019 (starting in 19 days)
Time: 21:55 to 2:00 (4 hours and 5 minutes long)
Part One.
Huw Edwards takes the helm for the BBC's comprehensive overnight coverage as the results of the General Election are announced, joined by Laura Kuenssberg, Katya Adler, Faisal Islam and Amol Rajan, along with Professor John Curtice. Sophie Raworth analyses the results on a giant map of the UK, Sarah Smith and Kirsty Wark broadcast live from Scotland, and correspondents including Naga Munchetty, Andrew Marr, Martha Kearney, Nick Robinson and Lucy Manning will have news and results from key constituency locations across the country. Finally, the exit poll - and the eventual result - will be projected onto Old Broadcasting House, providing a clear idea of who will be leading the country over the next five years.

[

Still surprised with it being so close they haven’t filed a permit for the projection.

I know there are strict regulations on Election Day but can broadcasters say its Election Day, get out and vote and show the party leaders voting themselves?

The broadcasters had a bit of difficulty on election day in 2010, when Nigel Farage was injured in a plane crash caused by the UKIP banner it was towing getting caught in the propellors. It was clearly newsworthy, but there was a lot of walking on eggshells as they tried to work out exactly what they could report without falling foul of Ofcom rules.

Wales has its own programme through to 6:00 (part 2 has the same description) while BBC Two Wales will take the BBC One network programme

In Northern Ireland they have their own programme through to 6:00, with BBC Two NI showing the BBC One network programme.

Interesting that Two Wales is opting out of a Celebrity Antiques Road Trip repeat for a 55 minute Natural World so the network show starts at the correct time. While Two NI (currently) isn't and is staying with network so viewers will miss the opening 5 minutes and presumably join as the exit poll drops.

Will Channel 4 Alternative Election coverage be coming from Pinewood Studios, I think they came there in the last election right?

Apparently not... https://www.applausestore.com/book-the-alternative-election-show

I think they'll tidy up the timings closer to the date.

I'm expecting Krishnan to look like he's dying inside while he's handing over to Claire Balding, Judge Rinder and 'Supermarket Sweep's' Rylan.

Why? He's professional enough to know that the UK doesn't need a fourth national 'serious' outlet on the night and the Channel 4 is providing the alternative. Channel 4 News staffers frequently appear across 'non serious' output on the Channel. He'll bounce off the others as they'll do off him.

The BBC probably won't report on this anywhere near as much as they should, but [[Mod snip]] this is in their manifesto.

[[Mod snip - to keep it vaguely presentation related.]]

Ive just searched BBC on twitter to get more on this, and rather than that, I’ve come across yet another of those online BBC outrages

Apparently this time loads of people have got it in their head that the BBC News have edited the BBCQT footage from last night to make Boris look better.

As is usual these days, many normally sensible level headed people have retweeted it and believe it.

Whether it will gain traction like the Rememberance Day footage, who knows.

Nice to see Riverside TV Studios back up and running again. Channel 4 must have been a good booking for their Studio 1. Riverside TV Studios has not been updated to say they are up and running, it still says reopening in 2019.

Wasn't Question Time live? Be a bit difficult to edit.

I think the complaint is the footage edited for the news report removed any laughter, even though is was clearly edited to be clipped for a news report as you'd expect.

The BBC attracting the usual complaints of bias from all sides though, so as usual doing their job it appears.

Also will be interesting how the ratings for the 7 way and Head to Head debate compare to the QT special. From the few comments I saw that were about the format rather than the politics there seemed to be agreement that one by one Q&As worked better than a head to head debate.
