They show leaders going into polling stations as well. Just can't talk about policies or arguments.

They will usually report that the polls have opened once they have, and will report party leaders voting with shots of them entering/leaving polling stations, then there's reports about unusual venues being used as polling stations and a selection of #dogsatpollingstations pictures, a bit of plugging for the results coverage, and that's about it until the polls close. There'll be a fair few reports that aren't time-specific prepared in recent days and weeks to fill the time although if memory serves me correctly last GE there was a lot of US politics news to cover anyway.

BBC's main coverage which will also be on BBC World News throughout. BBC World News schedules show special programming through to 22:00 on the 13th while the News Channel currently has a normal schedule showing at present but I expect it will be simulcast there also.

The Today programme on Radio 4 is always an interesting listen on election day. They almost revel in not having to report on it.
