BBC will be unpacking their 2017 election set. Children in Need will be held on Friday 15th November in Studio D at BBC Elstree, so once that is out of the way, they will build in the election studio set by December 1st, ready for rehearsals.

So have the other bookings for Elstree been cancelled completely or moved elsewhere?

How do we know Studio D is booked for election week? Do any of the audience ticket websites say of any productions in Studio D for that week?

If not, there is always the George Lucas Stage 1 next door to the Strictly Come Dancing studio in George Lucas Stage 2 - if the BBC wanted to really go big scale, using a vast stage, they could.

Remember the BBC has always prided themselves on big election studios, especially since 1992 onward, trying to outdo ITN of course, so I see no reason why their election set would not be reused again.

Studio B at Broadcasting House is very small for a general election in my opinion. Great studio, just not big enough for the scale of probably the most important general election this country will have.

Studio D has all the comms and stuff needed for an election. It's been set up as an election hub, it would be hard for them to hold it elsewhere.

BBC London's studio? Yuck! It's bad enough when it's used for Sunday Politics London.

Elstree studio D, not Broadcasting House Studio D!

You were stating it as fact that the election would be in Elstree D a few pages ago...

You really should make it clear when you are speculating/guessing/predicting rather than stating a definite fact.

Will he be back for the BBC? surly the BBC wouldn't allow that?

There's no issue with Vine working for BBC Radio 2 after his C5 chat show every morning.

That means he wont be on his Radio 2 show nor Ch5, unless he has no sleep?

Anne Diamond could hold the Channel 5 fort whilst Jeremy focuses on Election Coverage.

As someone mentioned earlier, I wonder what role Emma Barnett would have in the presentation? She would be a great addition to a live studio election broadcast.

The Day/Paxman role would be the most obvious and Emma would be excellent if she is available - I imagine 5 Live would probably be keen to have her involved in their coverage too.

Let’s not forget ITN: we presume Mr. Bradby will lead the charge? With Julie Etchingham on the night itself.

Alastair Stewart would do the 13th daytime continuation, I’d imagine.

The election hub is at Elstree, but it doesn't have to work into Studio D, they have done several elections from the hub but working into a studio at BH.

However I'm not sure how independent it is at Elstree, whether something else can be using D while the hub is operational

Join the BBC Election 2019 coverage on 12th December with Huw Edwards, Jeremy Vine, Emma Barnett, Reeta Chakrabarti and Dave Arch and his Wonderful Orchestra live from the Strictly Come Dancing set.

Using the latest AR graphics, the night begins with the Exit Poll, which will be revealed in the same style as the Strictly Results Show.

Jeremy Vine will explain the results as the night goes on with the all new Swing Danceometer, to cut through the figures and explain the results and what they mean for the country through the medium of dance.

Sir John Curtice will be on hand throughout the night to give his expert analysis, whilst doubling up as the tuba for Dave Arch's live rendition of the Election Theme.

A rotating panel of MPs will join us as the coverage continues, as well as interviews from Emma Barnett from the Strictly balcony. The MPs will be able to give scores for the interviewees from the judging table.

Reeta Chakrabarti will give news updates for a regular round-up of the stories, suspended from a wire and lowered down accompanied by Dave Arch playing the BBC News theme.

The BBC's Political Editor Laura Kuenssberg and the Brexitcast team will record their usual podcast on the set of It Takes Two, joined by Rylan Clark-Neal and his insights on Brexit.

Tom did the night, then extended Good Morning Britain and then Julie took over in the morning/lunchtime. Alastair had no role iirc.
