I absolutely was.... Tom Bradby brings nothing to the ITV News brand as he promised he would. Even with acknowledging his personal outage earlier this year - he's never ever cut the mustard. Their biggest mistake, and Austin - their biggest lost.

They've Etchingham - she'll be gone if they don't open their eyes. She's the Maitlis of ITV. Their best news asset period.

Agree Julie Etchingham is their biggest asset but if she was pissed off at her role at ITV she'd have bolted when Mark Austin did. She still seems very much first choice for major events and we'd all rather work 1 night a week than 5.

Tom Bradby is much improved and News at Ten a very watchable bulletin now, far better than the ratings gap with the BBC suggests. I think Tom overnight and Julie in the morning is the right call - suspect the morning will be when it really plays out anyway. This isn't going to be an election night where the exit poll is conclusive.
