That article seems to imply they struggle to fill BBC Parliament with material. Anyway its not unique to air "imported" programming, they simulcast the Washington Journal from C-Span for a start, which it looks like they've been doing since January 2007.

And I dare say it probably would have happened, just maybe not live.

They've been simulcasting it for a lot longer than that, since the early 00s at least!

Genome's first mention of this programme on BBC Parliament was in January 2007, unless it was billed as something else before?

Genome only goes back as far as 2005 for BBC Parliament anyway, but Sunday morning C-SPAN coverage was listed as "America This Week" back then.

I think we can confirm the QT debate on the 22nd for 20:30.

Still Open All Hours lists the same episode airing at 8:30 on the 22nd then 9PM on the 29th.

That episode is 2 hours long, I think I read somewhere it will be 19:00 to 21:00

Presumably the Punch and Judy election campaign and mud slinging won't be halted this morning? Rolling Eyes

I've just stumbled across this video of Sky News' 2010 election coverage (uploaded by VM Phil no less), and I can't believe this election branding only lasted for one outing, while the multicoloured vertical bars have returned for three election cycles (albeit, two unplanned).

If the BBC will be using Studio B at Broadcasting House for the general election coverage, when do you think Newsnight and other programmes which use the studio will be kicked out, so to get the studio ready for Thursday 12th December?

I assume this will be the studio, and Elstree is not going to be used?

Thanks.

They will not be kicked out of the studio based on your assumption. There has been no indication at all it's not coming from Elstree as of yet.

There were people on the forum saying Elstree would not be used this election. Someone asking about already booked productions in Studio D - I myself feel Studio D will be used, but others have said not - so, this is why I was asking about Studio B.

On SRO it Looks like 8 out of ten cats is booked into Elstree D on Monday 16 Dec. Election studio normally still in use most of the day after vote. Would there be enough time to turn it around?

Labour says two broadcasters interested in Economy debates - we know Newsnight are hosting themed debates. Channel 4 did one in 2015.

I looks great - I imagine the issue was the use of blue and red. Must be a minefield trying to come up with election branding without someone complaining it looks too much like one party or doesn’t include another. Sky looks like it should be branded as The Pride Election this year.

I believe I recorded this because it was the introduction of the then-new Sky News logo, so I wanted to capture the last moments of the old presentation. This was also the launch of Sky News HD, which at that time had different graphics to the SD channel making use of the larger size of HD TVs and being able to drop the 4:3 safe area:

I'd refer people to this post a few pages back...
Elstree will only be used as the back-end for all of the OBs, and not appear on-screen. Expect to see A, B, and a few other locations around NBH...

I have reason to suspect this poster may have a reliable source for their information.
