Do we know any details of ITV Election Night and the following day?

Do we assume it will be similar to 2015 and 2017 and the 2016 EU Referendum which in effect caused this and the 2017 Election?

I'm assuming Tom Bradby will be at "election central" (a modified version of the normal news set)

BBC Parliament losing it's feed (and muted) at a crucial moment there - during the (second) speaker vote results.

- BBC England weekly podcast called “Election and Chill”

- oh please, do they really need to do silly gimmicky names like this?

Breakfast and Newsbeat broadcasting from different towns, with in Breakfast's case no doubt some silly 'butty wagon' type thing and yet more voxpops.

It would fail but Ofcom might well give clearer election coverage rules.

She has also branded ITV sexist for not including any female candidates in the debate.

A ridiculous claim when you consider had this election been called just a few months ago, 50% of the two people involved would have been female!

Did Yougov clarify that ITV are holding another debate later with more party members involved?

If ITV invite the Lib Dems, then they will have to invite the SNP. Then PC will want to be involved, and then the Brexit Party, and then the Greens. Then the Independent Group for Change Party will want to be involved as well.
Charlesy and Brekkie gave kudos

Election 1970 was really the start of the BBC's huge studio attitude for general elections. I remember Cliff Michelmore saying the 1970 studio was just far too big, as it was going to be shrunk into a person's television screen anyway and thus pointless - BBC wanted to blast ITN out of the water with their massive sets.

Apart from 1983 and 1987, all of the general election sets for the BBC have been truly massive, making the most of TC1 at Television Centre - however 2019 is a different era now, and the BBC think the age of the massive studio is not needed.

As has been pointed out, the reason for huge sets previously was to provide effectively office space for those working on the results etc. That just isn't required to be in the same place these days.

Surprising that they used Lime Grove for 1966 though, TC1 had been open for a couple of years by then.

TC1 opened in 1964, I know they used Lime Grove until 1964, I did not know they used it in 1966

So we can guess Studio B will be used for the BBC election? This might be down to shows booked into Studio D at Elstree, and in a way it would be cost saving for the BBC too, as Studio D is massive and expensive to use.

Correct. Studio B will be home to the election set this year. Programmes will move out to various other studios across NBH (C, World Service etc).

I wouldn’t be surprised if all goes well, this becomes the norm. I suspect it’s much cheaper!

Probably see the Mail saying the BBC now look too cheap- they will never be happy.
