Sky also aired The Campaign in 2017, but Sophy Ridge was anchor. I assume it's Niall this time due to Sophy Ridge airing Saturday as well, meaning she would be on air 7 days a week.
I'm surprised Niall's been chosen though, as you'd think they'd want to settle him into The Early Rundown considering it's only been on the air a few weeks.
They haven't given it a date yet so it's possible that another broadcaster takes it on although maybe if ITV fancy throwing it against BBC One's Sunday schedule, they could but I can't imagine any of the MPs being happy with that scheduling.
MPs don't know anything about scheduling, they barely watch any TV. If they were that concerned they shouldn't have agreed to an election in December.
It may be that they turn it down for scheduling reasons, they have a lot to fit in before Christmas that cannot be rescheduled like Martin Lewis, How to Spend it Well, Royal Variety etc
Everything can be rescheduled, or dropped completely. If ITV can't fit in a few extra programmes for the election, God help them when the Queen dies. The fact they're showing nearly four hours of repeats in primetime tomorrow suggests the schedules are hardly groaning at the seams.

I don’t see dropping the RVP and certainly they won’t be upsetting their talent by dropping their programming. How to Spend it Well for example can’t exactly be shown in January.

RVP is not live in could be aired the following week.
And the RVP can air anything from days to weeks after the event - sometimes it's held back until very close to Christmas.
They'll be most protective of I'm a Celebrity but if needs be as it was when they had the Champions League it can be pulled one night and an extended episode aired the following night.
Which of course they won’t need to, as it’s ITV’s debate, so they decide when to hold it and they will hold it when it suits them, it’s not as if they are televising someone else’s debate.
Hence why the first one is taking place on a Tuesday, which is ITV’s quietest day.

If they do decide to air the multi leader debate, I suspect it’ll end up on a Sunday since ITV don’t have to worry about X Factor since that’s not airing on Sundays this year, the Royal Variety I suspect will air against SPOTY and The Apprentice final which isn’t ideal but will be seen as a solid alternative.
The difference between Champions League Football and the debate is that CL football brought in revenue, a debate with little to no ads is not worth not airing your biggest hit
The X Factor All Stars airs the week after I'm a Celeb, with the final on the 15th versus SPOTY, so they couldn't air the RVP until after the election anyway, probably Tue 17th December.
