That's happened about a half a dozen times now, but twice in one show is a record.

I've often thought that a late night TV phone in show would be good for the UK, but you'd end up with idiots like that spoiling things.

Twice in a show is one thing, but two calls back to back is incredible.

I don't think it's the same person twice is it? So it's either two people working together or it's catching on and other people are doing it.

You have to wonder what Sharon has done

Anyone noticed any benefits of ITN taking over TWS? I certainly haven't. Same old guests same old stories same old comments via Twitter Facebook Text. I read somewhere that when the show was being taken over that there were going to be big changes with guests and stories etc. Also find Storm a pointless part of the show. No disrespect to her I think she's a good presenter but quite pointless. It's like when they had the hub on this morning and scrapped it. Matthew and three guests are there to do what Storm does

It’s not big or clever but when it annoys Matthew Wright it is very funny.

I’m surprised a load of different students don’t phone in, and prank call like that more regularly.

As I wasn't an avid viewer to TWS, I'm not sure if ITN have changed the way they book cover for Matthew, but it appears it's an all female week of guest presenters.

One thing ITN haven't changed is the blasted phone number format still after all these years they get it wrong.

They use the 0207 000 0000 format instead of 020 7000 0000, the latter is the correct way of reading out the telephone number as 0207 isn't a STD code. The 7's and 8's are a legacy from when we had 071/0171 and 081/0181 in London.

Ah I see. I'm not from London you see so that wouldn't have been obvious to me - in fact it wouldn't have seemed out of the ordinary to me at all as our area code is 0151 so follows the same format 0151 XXX XXXX as TWS uses.

All 02x areas should be formatted 02x xxxx xxxx as the area code is 3 digits and local number 8 digits.

You see a lot of errors in places like Cardiff (028) and Northern Ireland (029) where they used to be 5+6 and are now 3+8, and to a lesser extent in 011x areas which used to be 5+6 but are now 4+7, like Nottingham (0115) and Reading (0118).

I've even seen numbers in places with 5+6 area codes in the 4+7 format, for example a balti restaurant in Wolverhampton has a sign showing the number as "0190 2xx xxxx" Rolling Eyes

Or 020 8811 8181 as it would be now!
