I must admit to having concerns that this might not be as successful as some think it will be. Remember the issues Sir Terry Wogan had transitioning from a highly successful Radio Two show in daytime to a daytime TV slot. Admittedly it's different content programme, but ......
The format of The Wright Stuff isn't being changed though is it? Basically, it will be Jeremy Vine instead of Matthew Wright?
Indeed, as long as the basic premise of topical conversation is maintained, it'll continue to tick over nicely padding which would be full of repeats otherwise.
It's not like Vine isn't an expert at it on Radio 2.

As I've said before, I've been a huge fan of Kirsty's almost since she started out in the TV business two decades ago - yet even I'm surprised that she's hosting a show like TWS.
While she's undoubtedly a good TV presenter, and she undoubtedly has a heart of gold, I would have thought that she was just a little bit too, y'know, "entertainment" for *this* kind of show - and the same for, say, Davina and Claudia. Mind you, I had similar feelings when Dan Walker took over on Breakfast - and it seems to be working out pretty well for him.
Of course, unlike Dan, Kirsty's helping to keep the seat warm for JV. And I'd be pretty shocked if she was lying in that tweet...

They seem to be under the hugely misleading impression that "Jeremy Vine" is a household name. Quite simply he is not.
Nor was Matthew Wright in 2000, unless you read the Daily Mirror. I'd debate that Vine is slightly more higher profile coming into the show than Wright was.
Fail to see your logic there. Shouldn't call it by his name as he isn't well known enough so call it by just his surname instead?
Frankly he is about as well known as C5 could have hoped for, hosting weekly and daily BBC TV shows, part of the Strictly alumni and fronting a daily radio show which reaches a far wider audience than he ever will on C5.
