WHAT?! GMT will be airing in the UK as well? wow...
but I wonder, doesn't George Alagiah has too much exposure already in the UK? and I also wonder if BBC two will have the BBC WN DOG and the gizmo, I can't wait to see the images.. Rolling Eyes

On the Six O'Clock News 4 times a week is hardly too much exposure.

Agreed - Its better than having Naga on your screens 5 times a week!

Boring men in colourful shirts rather than suits, you mean? Smile

So does anyone know when GMT is coming to BBC Two?
I thought it was gonna start in July after Working Lunch finished, but it just seems to be films atm.
Are we waiting for the clocks to go back in Oct?

Looking at the schedules films are still in that slot until 3rd Sept.

Not certain, but it would make sense to start GMT once The Daily Politics returns...which is the following week I think

Oh right, thanks. Hopefully it will.

As GMT looks quite interesting I be closing my petition to being back Working Lunch as I thought before that it was going to be like the news at one. A BBC World News production will look quite good addition to BBC2 as its different from the News Channel. (Really think they should change the News channel back to News 24 as the layout now looks meh while the BBC News 24 graphics looks better)

I am still not sure how it is going to work GMT will not be able to move around the lunchtime schedule like working lunch did, what will happen on PMQs?

Unless they go for a fixed schedule that GMT is on, with all BBC Two programming expected to cope round it, and GMT will simply be ditched if and when something like PMQs comes up - presumably any spare time in the schedule would then be filled with films/ random junk?

But what if GMT doesn't turn out to meet your high standards of being "quite interesting", will the petition be reinstated?
