Faces come and faces go..........within the individual threads, we are often enquiring about the whereabouts of faces who have just disappeared from the newsrooms. I thought I would create a place where we could collectively find out who has gone where!

In my case, several sudden departures - where are they now?

Valerie Sanderson - News 24
Lucy Hockings - BBC World
Loiuse Tait - BBC Reporting Scotland 90's
Loiuse Welsh - ditto
Cathy MacDonald - ditto
Peter Coe - BBC News 24 and BBC World
George Eykyn - ditto

I'm sure I saw a glimpse of Cathy MacDonald presenting a Gaelic programme. There was a bizarre period in time when not only was she reading BBC Scotland's Breakfast News, but also appearing in the under fives' programme Dotaman.

What happened to some of London Tonight's newsreaders before they moved to ITN from LNN? Last time I saw Anna Maria Ashe on TV was when she said goodbye for the final time at the end of LT. Oh and Paul Green(sp?)

Andrew, I think they guy you are referring to is possibly Bill McFarlan. He left broadcasting to start-up a media training company, IIRC. Also, if I am not mistaken, Viv Lumsden and Alan Douglas were also both involved in the venture in some way.

I am not sure if it is still an ongoing business, however.

Where is Allan King from Sky News Confused:

Allan has his own media training company, if memory serves, so he'll be doing that. Sky News presenting was only ever his bit on the side if you like.

Viv went into acting I think. Last I heard was this from a Daily Mail article

Sheila I remember hearing something but have absolutely no idea what now.

Frank Patridge was given 180 hours community service and a fine after throwing a glass of water at, and hitting, his wife back in 2004.
