Well done to ITV West for winning a couple of RTS awards yesterday. One was for the best regional news programme.



I also saw that ITV west have new weather presenters for next year . Bob Crampton and his apprentice are replacing the girls from Central who finish at the end of the month. Are they sure this is a good idea ?

I 'm starting to seriously question Rachel Royces position as a reporter on ITV-W.
This is he second time in a few weeks that shes appeared on national radio with some dubious story to comment on .

If she wants to carry on with this type of freelance stuff then I think she should give her news reporting a rest for a while as i think her credibility is suffering.

Surely you're not suggesting that the phrase "ITV West News" and the word "credibility" were EVER happy bedfellows?

No thats pushing it a bit far, especially with their crew.

Anyway I dont want to hear Rachel on radio 2 again this year or see her on Loose Women otherwise i'm going to complain.

Hello my ITV West friends....I am sorry to take this off topic, but how is Lisa Aziz doing at Bath Road? I really miss her on SKY, although she was wasted there anyway. How the did not put her on weekdays - I am not sure?

I prefer The West Tonight to ITV West News, as I do Wales Tonight and ITV Wales News.

I noticed after watching tonights ITV West News bulletin they have their own weather presenter. So does that mean you dont get Emma Jesson and Charlie Neil anymore, even at the weekends? Here in Wales we do.

They do at weekends on occassion.

Well not at the moment but its only early days for the new team . The new presenters are only into their third week . Emma said she would be back in the future so I expect that when the ITVW team are away then the central weather girls will stand in for them.

Interesting then that Wales still get the Central presenters at the weekend, not that im complaining.

How many preseters are in the West's team? Is it 2?

Yes. Bob Crampton in the week and then Alex Beresford for the weekend forecasts.

I dont mean this to sound nasty but last year ITVW said they were holding a competition to find a second presenter for the weather. Now i was quite disappointed when they announced he was the winner and then they brought him into the studion for a chat.

When you look at the standard of the girls from Central and the team for Yorkshire , Border and Granada, I just wonder how hard they tried to get someone from outside ITVW or how low the standard of applicants was because really i'm not that impressed.
