I do watch PW but it seems to have lost its way a great deal lately. Yesterday they spent 10 minutes worrying about the snow with one outside reporter stuck just off the M4 near Bath discussing if we had enought girt and another reporter telling that they are ready for the snow at the Airport!!!
One thing I will say is that PW is 100 x better then the **** ITV West pumps out. Liza Aziz's and her pack of below-par presenters are just dire.
Sorry, Nick. I really just had to point out the schoolboy stupidity displayed here. I'm would imagine, on such a small forum, they are unlikely to do any harm.. But it still doesn't excuse someone not understanding the basic principles of the law of the land.
Alex' brainteaser barbie' Lovel was left to do Points West despite featuring in BBC National reports about the Five Brainteaser scandal.
Made worse by her handing back to national at the end...for more shots of her on Brainteaser.
Aside from the frankly dumb move to leave her on-air whist she feature in a national scandal, The case involves staff (her colleagues) appearing on-air as fake callers to premium rate quizzes...a legitimate question would be did she really not know?
Given that its made in bristol, by bristol staff, why did it not feature on the show? It was all over the local radio this afternoon.
Nothing against Alex, who is a great light entertainment host, but how can the BBC employ a news presenter who presents a premium rate quiz?
It is NOT an editorial show - Five don't pay for it in the normal way programmes are paid for, it is there only to drive premium rate revenues..the studio contestants are just their to give it a look of a traditional game show (alot of contestants are paid to be on to fill up space, BTW)
Even lower trust in BBC Bristol now.

Fake winners and possibly fake contestants!! All without Miss Lovell's knowledge, not much of a journalist if she can't sniff out a national news story under her nose!
But does that 1.5 hours include the weekly football programme (Soccer Night in most regions) and the political programmes? Some Tuesday's/Thursday we dont get a regional programme at 7.30pm when they decide to show a "one hour special" of Emmerdale
In Wales they seem to prefer to show the Soccer highlights programme on Sunday afternoons (Soccer Sunday) but it doesnt seem to have a regional time slot, its whenever they can opt out of the network. We also get other regional programmes on a Sunday afternoon, Monday nights at 8pm and 11pm and sometimes Friday nights at 11pm too.
I think regional output is Tuesday 7.30-8pm, Thursday 7.30pm-8pm and Thursday 11pm-12am (Usually fulfilled by Soccer Night and a debate programme). In Wales they are entitled to 8 hours of regional output so Soccer Sunday mainly concentrates on the three major Welsh teams: Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham but also shows highlights of the other games in the Football League like "the Championship" does. Frankly I miss the days when it was HTV, when ITV region had it's own regional identity.
