Formally known as HTV?

By whom?

Or do we mean formerly?

Apologies if that point has already been made.

Oh kl! Would be nice if we got a specal title endboard, or even astons. Havent heard anything from my contacts though. I don't like the 50 years feature titles though. So hope its not them.

I see Richard Wyatt ( Bruce Hockins old mate at HTV West) has turned up presenting Breakfast on BBC Radio Bristol..

Nice to see Mr Wyatt back in the local spotlight. There was a letter in the Evening Post saying that Young Richard should take over the show on a full time basis.

On the subject of Points Worst, I have to agree Alex & Will are p*ss poor, they have no charm or personality at all. If I want faceless bland newsreaders I can watch The Worst Tonight over on t'other side.

How many weeks have they been doing the 50 years reports for? I know I missed one last week. Glad I didn't miss this weeks. Has anybody got any of these saved?

EDIT: Mr Fetish, thanks for that link, I managed to find all the reports via a search on the BBC site.

I've just noticed an old BBC West 'W' ident within one set of titles, so I'd love to get a closer look at that some how.

It appears to be a rotating W if you look at the clip itself >>> http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/help/3681938.stm

Not the first time Richard Wyatt's been involved with radio.

He was involved with one of the groups that failed to get the original Wiltshire ILR franchise.

If that group, Wiltshire Broadcasting, had got the franchise instead of Uncle Ralph's Wiltshire Radio, later to become GWR, later to become GCap, just think how different commercial radio would be in this country now.

We'll never know. Similar question; what if Thames had won the London Weekday licence in 1991 !

Us lucky viewers in Wales were treated to "The West Today" at lunchtime today. Shocked The presenter even welcomed viewers from Wales. No idea what the problem was that we couldnt get ITV Wales News?
