I've just looked at Emma 'bye-bye' Jesson's profile on Central's website:

Is there anything she can't do?!

I would've thought maybe he had Polish parents but I never had a thought that he was from Poland himself! He doesn't sound Polish in his forecasts. Surprised

The BBC weather forecasts seem to have undergone another minor tweak.

The second screen we see (after the swirling globe) now seems to feature a shot of some sky showing appropriate weather conditions. The accompanying 'headline' in a square box in the middle of the screen has been replaced by one aligned to the top of the screen. It now includes a daypart (eg. 'This morning', etc.) in red text as well.

That partially removes the useless "headline". For 99% of the time it is simply not possible to summarise the entire UK's weather forecast in 3 words or less without including "for most" at the end.

Why do the images after the BBC Weather logo look so bad quality? Apologies if this has been mentioned before.

I've just been looking at the superman returns website and noticed that in the background of this publicity shot the old look ITV weather is on the monitors. I didn't realise you could pick up ITV all the way across in Metropolis!

That's what I love about this site. That there are actually other people about who notice things like that!

I personally do not like that at all. Not sure why, but its something asthetic.

How fab, maybe Severe Chrissie is going to be Supermans nemesis in this film, using her icy glare.

Actually I miss Chrissie and her manerisms from national forecasts.
