Dan covered it nicely, "yes, the weather ..."

Couldn't agree more! You could hear her shouting 'the weather, sorry I meant the weather' only her mic wasn't faded up so it was a bit muffled (just how I like to hear her!)

I love Dan, he just brings something to a weather forecast, I dont actually mind if it is going to rain because he is so positive!

Who actually is lead presenter now? It used to be Helen Young, but since she left who replaced her?

I think it may be Darren Bett, he seems to have been training the new, and awfully wooden and nervous Chris Fawkes, always appearing at around the same time as him.

Edit: A good Corbett-ism the other night ... "this front, it's a bit like treacle stuck to a plate, it takes some time to get rid of it, it's awfully sticky"

During the 0955 forecast, one of the sports events highlighted showed:

NO DATA
88
NO DATA

with the '88' in an orange box, and the whole thing in a green box (where normally there would be falling rain, blue sky etc).

The forecaster apologised because "unfortunately, we haven't got the weather detail for that game" just yet.

Could be Darren, or Daniel's a good choice.

Alex Deakin was also a strong candidate ISTR.

EDIT: There appears to be a webpage where you can find out who's going to be on what broadcast during the day:
