It will be interesting to see how Michael handles the fancy new graphics. I seem to remember he had trouble sticking the old magnetic ones on the board.

Good to see one of the proper presenters back in harness.

How can anyone consider Caddy Lee Preston a professional, dreadful screaching voice and terrible language skills, lets see how far downmarket we can take things shall we?

I can understand where you're coming from but I think she is popular with the viewers for her enthusiasm and the way she explains things. She also presents the South East edition of Inside Out, so she must be considered to be doing a good job.

With Natalie Booker due to have another baby in April and working part-time, this is probably why Michael Fish is doing stints in the South East.

Not entirely without precedent - I seem to recall a certain Mr McCaskill doing a cover stint in Leeds after he'd retired

According to the Radio Times Jo Blythe is down to do the itv Weather from Monday to Thursday, i wonder if this will be a regular occurance with the relaunch of itv Weather.

Is there set to be a change for ITV during the relaunch, I know the News is becoming "warmer" but anything on the weather graphics front?

Oh, and has anyone noticed, that with increasing reguarity that BBC Weather (on N24) seem to lose the image behind the "summary" section? I've seen several blank screen's this week alone.

He also did a stint at GMTV for a bit in 1999 when they were finding a new Weather presenter.

Well it's good to see Jo going National again, presumably this is because no-one else is around, Sian doesn't appear that much these days, Martin also has to do Meridian, I don't know about Becky she's been on and off alot lately.

Becky Mantin keeps going off to present fluffy programmes. She did "This Morning" for a few weeks and I think she did "Celebrity Outta Here" preogramme for GMTV?

If Becky keeps flouncing off shes going to lose alot of respect. Altho shes still HOT :lol

It has always struck me that ITV Weather presenters musn't really do much - especially now after the closure of the News Channel. Their main ITV1 forecasts are very short and, if I'm not mistaken some (I know Sian Lloyd isn't), if not all of their presenters aren't trained meterologists so they don't even produce the forecasts as the BBC presenters do. So what do they do all day?

Rather than reading through the whole thread, can someone tell me what's planned for ITV Weather with Monday's new look.

Not a lot I'd imagine - they are very proud of the simplicity of their current graphics and say they are based on a lot of research into what people want to see. Probably just a change of the day/time graphics and that'll be it I'd guess.

Only Martyn is a trained metrologist If I remember.

Jo Blythe will be presenting national forecasts from Mon-Thurs next week.

I am not expecting 3d graphics, but corporate font, ITV Weather <REGION> logo, and perhaps have the sea a greeny colour to match the news...
