One Corbettism I've liked recently is one in which the graphic is showing the frost as a temperature so that half of Scotland and Northern England is covered in blue and he described that as if he went mad with a blue crayon!

Yes, he's a little bit different - individual. I see from his biog on the BBC site that he worked in the US for quite a while... can't image what they made of him there!

Doubt this will stay for long but if you go to the BBC Weather 5 day forecast and go to the final day's forecast, you will find this.... it's going to be a very cold and a very windy day!

Sad question I know, but why does Newcastle get a Gill Sans '-99' when the rest are in Swiss? Brr! by the way!

I'm more intrigued to know how the winds can be travelling at minus 99 mph. Does that mean they're sucking rather than blowing?

Just sitting here imagining the wind operating like a giant hoover. Brilliant.

I saw Rob Mcelwee with a -99 sign on his map. He chose to ignore it even though it was bang in the middle of Cheshire. Not very good in my opinion letting that go out on air.

That's almost onomatopoeic, that map - you can almost hear the ooooh of the howling winds...

... or maybe it's just me.

So people are going to get sucked into the sky at high speed? Marvellous!

Paints quite an amusing mental image, I'll give them that.

Not sure. It was mentioned yesterday and I thought it might be because the regular two (Nick and Kaddy) were both away or something but Nick was on the lunchtime bulletin today.
