The Weather Forecast Thread

I noticed her for the first time on world the other day, I actually thought she was Lindsey Brancher, or perhaps an irish? scotish? version of her!

She has periodically been appearing on BBC World since the weather relaunch. As have other presenters normally associated with Network - Helen Willetts, Helen Young and the other Breakfast weather presenter, who's name temporarily escapes me.

Do you think Carol has the resemblence of Lindsey Brancher James?

Something which causes much amusement in the household during a Carol Kirkwood forecast is the way she loudly draws her breaths. It isn't obvious unless you're listening out for it, but it is quite funny. Every few words, there's a loud *wwwwhheeeerrrrr" as she battles on. Listen out next time she's on!

Haha, can't say i've noticed it, but I've only seen 2 of her forecasts.

I didnt know that she still does that. I remember from her Weather Channel days and early on BBC News 24, she had that problem (if it is one). I havent heard it for a while!

She is vaguely like Lindsey Brancher, Damo. But, the great Lindsey is far superior IMO!!

One of them looks at the weather, whilst the other looks like the weather! (I am not saying which is which though.)

Is it me or has Isobel taken an excitement pill, as the last two times i saw her present the weather (the last was on Sundays 10pm) she has started screeching the weather and being very over excited.

Do they have a wine-bar nearby, she looks like the Chardonnay (spelling) type to me.

Yes I think so. She hasn't been back long since the last 'happy event' has she?
