IIRC all the BBC's weather peeps are from the Met Office.

Some are Met Office presenters rather than Met Office forecasters though - people who have been trained to interpret someone else's forecast and be able to present that coherently rather than write their own. I suspect Carol Kirkwood may fall into that category - was that why Helen Willets did breakfast on Monday, because she would be able to answer the questions about the new system better as a "proper" meteorologist?

Also anyone else noticed the lack of a clicker on the six?

I think, from memory that Matt Taylor is a presenter as aposed to a forecaster.
There details on the teams history/background on the BBC Weather site. Dan Corbets is particually interesting,

the new graphics are being covered on p.o.v now - with terrible reviews.
- apparently scotland is exactly the same size as before
- the brown colour is so that colourblind people can make out the graphics more easily, as a green colour would have clashed with the red.
- and joy, birmingham is now featured on almost all of the maps.

Am I the only one that likes the new weather graphics?! To solve the Scotland problem, keep it in 3D but look more centrally down on Britain. Simple really!

I also like them now, I guess they could never stay 2D forever. the one thing that i dont like about them though is how they may be harder/impossible to understand for certain groups, for example older people, or those who cant get to grips with technology. I know after time, people my begin to understand them, but i think its the initial phase of "i dont like these because i dont know what the hell is going on" that we're going through now, hence the negativity.
after all, people don't like change.

Is it not possible to tilt the angle so it's more birds eye view rather then the current perspective view from the south of the country?

Is anyone able to inform me of what was said please as I was away this weekend and missed Points of View? I bet it was interesting to find out what people think of the new graphics (that aren't those on the forum)

There wasn't that much really, less than I expected. 3 or 4 short negative letters followed by a report with Peter Gibbs defending them.
