Interesting that, according to Radio Times, there will be an extra weather presenter on BBC One/News 24 every day from next week with one presenter doing the weather around the Six and another doing the ten.
Personally, I've always said that this is a better way to do it but I would have regular presenters doing the shifts (i.e. 4 presenters are allocated to each shift - 1 does BBC1/News 24 bulletins, 1 does BBC World and 1 BBCi - but rotating within their shift each day)

They must be changing the shift patterns. I suspect you'll see one presenter doing the morning on News 24 and the 1:00 News, another taking over on N24 for the afternoon and doing the 6:00 News, then another doing the 10:00 News before doing the forecasts overnight on N24.
Both Carol Kirkwood and Dan Corbett have popped up unexpectedly on the 6:00 News over the last couple of months, maybe they're two of the new Six O'Clock Weather presenters.
Your shift pattern idea sounds interesting, but don't forget there's a hierearchy of presenters. People like Jo Farrow, Nina Ridge and Everton Fox never do the main bulletins, so your system might cause one or two problems.
I've never quite been able to work out what the weather shift patterns are. Or indeed, if there are any.

Actually Jo Farrow and Nina Ridge make quite a few apearances on BBC 1, presenting the weather forecast for the One o'clock News.

Is there a whole section dedicated to the BBC Weather relaunch in this week's RT?

As a matter of fact, this morning's weather bulletin on Breakfast at 6:15 was presented from the weather studio. I thought it was going to be permanent up until the relaunch on Monday, but at 6:45 Carol was back on the roof again...

Surely if they're going to use these new flashy graphics on Breakfast, the presenter will have to come inside or they'll have to find some way of inserting them behind her. They can't just have it wipe in as at present.

There's no reason why not, the map will take up the same position as it does now

Breakfast just showed a package behind the scenes with Carol Kirkwood. They're doing a preview of the new graphics tomorrow morning (Friday)
