It's been a while since we've had one of these in this thread, but...

Is Elizabeth Saary pregnant? Looked like it the other night.

I'm sure of it, and i'm pretty sure Nina Ridge is as well.

BBC weathergirls are like Pringles, once they pop, they can't stop!

Did anyone just see the start of the weather on BBC One? When they cut to the weather studio there was a graphic advertising the News Multiscreen weather thing, and then John Hammond quickly grabbed his clicker from somewhere off to the left. Clearly had been rehearsing and mistimed how long he had left to go.

Oh my gosh. Has anyone captured the video of it?

He already had his clicker - he was just re-setting the graphics back to the start of the sequence on the playout system to his right.

Hey,

Did anyone capture that special forcast during the Darby Coverage? It was with Dan Corbett? If so, can someone please upload it?

Oh dear, Rob McElwee halfway through a forecast then and at 22:58 News 24 cut him off in his prime and went to some trails. He could be heard screaming, "Come back to me, come back to me" in the background, but to no avail.

Not that the weather was an important feature tonight!!! Shocked

The Newsnight weather forecast was reinstated (albeit briefly) last night - it was presented by (I think) Rob McElwee (so no 'take an umbrella with you tomorrow'). Unusually, there was no motion between the slides, the camera simply faded from one position to another. That's probably because of the isobars and the great big ' LOW ' on the map, but why the Metra system wouldn't be able to handle them I don't know.

They've been using that on the regular forecasts for the last day or so. The pressure chats are part of the new software, presumably they had to do the one-off newsnight weather from a non-weather studio

But there was movement in the forecast within the globe at the top of the forecast, it is more probable that the system was running slow.

Today for the first time since it's creation in 1989? (except for a short period where there was no sponsor.), ITV Weather is being sponsored by E-on instead of Powergen. Of course technically it is still Powergen as such, This means there's probably no chance of getting our beloved Powergen Weather People back. Sad
