Well if this is the shape of things to come then I personally will find it hard to adjust to.
I'm rather fond of the current set, but will reserve full judgement until full broadcast...
I think the graphics are very ITV looking. To me it looks too cluttered and the yellow seems just out of place. Perhaps it will grow on me when I see them full time.
Thanks for the cap.
For clearity here are you saying these are you saying that those already posted caps of the new package are the unfinished version? or incorrect? And secondly am I right in presuming the cap you posted is from New Zealands TV1, I think ?
I have to agree with your comments though. The caps posted do seem very "old school". However we wait and see as to there launch.
One aspect which was talked up by the BBC and posters on the thread has been this "3D flying approach" I now look forward to seeing how this is incorported

Yeah that's how it looks in New Zealand, I think ours will be very similar. Here's the link...http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/3572562.stm
Weatherscape XT site:
www.metra.co.nz/metra/weatherscape/ Btw this site includes cool examples of all the features of the new package, including the 3D flying approach!
I must admit that I am looking forward to the new package as well! I'm obsessed with the weather!
Actually DAS I didn't read all of the thread as I didn't have the time. I only wanted to inform fellow members what the new package was going to look like.
I don't know where those caps are from, but I don't think they have anything to do with the new package.
The caps were photos I took from feeds of the weather studios displayed freely in television centre, it looks like each presenter does a weather forecast with the current graphics and then switches to the graphics i've posted and does the same forecast but with those, it must be rehearsals for the new graphics, and they are likely to be the final version as they are to be launched very soon.
Here are 2 video clips I managed to record on my phone (no sound):
