if they want the bbc news bit in there - surely its "BBC NEWS Wales" rather than "BBC NEWS WALES"

aside from that - imitating a rather poor national news set is a bit of a cop out. a point proven by the english regions in the 99ish generic look.

What on earth is the first minute about!?!? The presenter was very fluent and clear in English too. But anyway, a nice variation of the National BBC News, good view of the Newsroom backdrop, and no surprises for guessing the 'N' would remain.

Overall it looks very nice, Wales Today is a bit too white, but it's good they've gone for the North West Tonight approach by keeping some of the old, i.e The city backdrop, and something new like the bright desk.

The Newyddion music sounds like the work of David Lowe, the Wales Today music sounds like its been done elsewhere.

I think the new look is fantastic, but they need to sort the soft area out - it looks half-finished and also much darker than the rest of the set.

well its up on the tv room but half way through the clip it freezes and carries on but with no oic or sound?? anyone else got that?
tv ark havent done anythign yet though shame really.
Quite a nice new look though much more modern.

I was going to say it is a bit like NWT with keeping bits of the old set, not that i watch the show but from what i say on Sky looked like a nice set.

Especially as the floor ISN'T black.

The new look Newyddion BBC uses the virtual newsroom (of BBC1 Network News fame) in the "window", rather than the Cardiff newsroom as before.

EDIT: I hope that Wales Today's revamp will make ITV Wales News hurry the hell up and get the London Tonight style set at long last...(?)
