This is BBC News presentation at its best. Is this what we are to expect from the nationals in the future?

No more red, please.

It's like a 'New' Labour political propaganda broadcast! Rolling Eyes

I've always thought that multi or neutral colours are best suited for news. Not completely red (BBC) or completely blue (ITV).

Channel 4 News has the balance right, as does Channel 5 and Sky News (can't go wrong with a red and blue logo!).

Is the background in the Newyddion "window"...

(A) the exact same virtual newsroom as used on BBC One network news?

(B) a virtual newsroom of BBC Wales' own design?

(C) the actual real Cardiff newsroom, having had a News24 style "re-paint"?

(D) something else I haven't thought of?

I really can't tell... Confused Embarassed

I think its a virtual newsroom, using the same style as the National News virtual studio, but with a different 'design'

Oh please. Next your going to say Five News is sympathetic to Fathers for Justice with the purple in their colour scheme...

No, but look at CNN for instance. Neutral idents, colours etc.

Well apparently tomorrow's WT is a joint broadcast with BBC NI, both from Cardiff -- though not all of it, presumably.

Not quite as important as a new bridge mind you but anyway.

Why?

Northern Ireland is not part of the republic of Ireland. Seems stupid and completely pointless to me if this rumour turns out to be true!

Well no but for the 6 nations, the Ireland team is made up of players both from the republic and NI.

Anyway Bob said it so I'm sure it's not lies -- the bloke on Newsline said it too. Still slightly pointless mind you.
