I do think pulling the programme entirely is a bit of an over reaction - aren't they only up for 24 hours so they might as well leave it in it's slot for people who enjoy such things at their own pleasure. Wink

It probably wouldn’t be that hard to just censor it and put it on iPlayer. And besides, who really cares that much, besides the people with OFCOM on speed-dial?

Not worth it for a programme that's only going to be available for 24 hours.

A few months in, one can't help but notice how well off Central Sqaure is in terms of both the number and size of its television studios (even if all aren't well used). With this and NBH, it is clear that the BBC have learnt their lesson from their disasterous run of under-studioing pretty much every new building project from the mid-90s to MediaCity.

Agreed, even though I do wonder why the largest studio (the windowed one on the Ground floor) even exists as most of BBC Wales' studio based, non-news/sport programming such as Wales Live comes from the atrium which is a bit....bare

Don't forget that all this was spec'd 5 or 6 years ago, a lot has changed since then, not least over the last year! The sort of productions envisaged for that studio, may well not be feasible at present

Exactly. I suspect we've barely seen what Central Square is capable of in terms of studio output due to the effects of Coronavirus. 'Wales Live' does look terrible IMO due to how bare it is with pour acoustics. The building is barely manned, so impossible for us to see what she's really got to offer.

The standing disk returned tonight. Quite a nice feature

Crimewatch Live are broadcasting live from central square for the first time this week. What are your thoughts? I thought it was really good using the different areas in the rather big studio, and using the screens in the Atrium. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000t3nf/crimewatch-live-series-13-episode-5
